Holy Calling

A Story of Choices

We have been called by the God of the Universe

to accept the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross.

It is a Holy Calling.

We are being called from death to Life.  There is no greater Calling.

Death of Separation

Jesus Christ has saved us not from physical death, but a death of the spirit and soul within us.

No matter how alive or dead our spirit and soul are as we walk the path through this mortal life, the death through separation from God who made us will pierce the deeper parts we hold dearest.  And the pain of knowing we could have made a better choice will haunt us for all eternity.

It is a death that creates regrets more painful than mankind should ever have known.

The death of separation from God and His Son, Jesus Christ, was originally intended for the devil and his angels.  Mankind entered the judgement of that death when they turned from God and the life He offers.

The horror of that death and the regret it holds, will never leave those who reject Jesus Christ.

Journey with Jesus Christ

We were created spiritual beings who will live forever.

We choose whether we want to live in heaven with the God who made us and with Jesus Christ, who saved us.  It is a path of light, love, and life.  It is the true life God intended for us from the beginning of time.  It is a life that will never fade or grow old.  It is a life that will heal the deepest parts of us and make us truly whole and complete.

As you journey with Jesus Christ, you will discover justice, mercy, forgiveness, and righteousness.  You will find a relationship that rebuilds you from the inside out.  Then you will realize the depth of the kindness, understanding and love Jesus Christ has not only for you, but for all people.

No Other Choices

You can choose the alternative.  Live life on your own terms apart from God.  No one is pressuring you to make a choice for their own sake.  It is for your sake that Jesus Christ and the truth of life is shared with you.

It is like a gold prospector who finds the motherlode.  But instead of hoarding it, he or she shares their great find with anyone who is interested because they realize there is way too much for one person.

Heaven and eternity with Jesus Christ hold a treasure so great that it would be a tragedy of biblical proportions to miss it.

Choose life with Jesus Christ today.  He is calling you with a Holy Calling.

Or continue life without Him.

It is your choice.

There are no other choices.

What the Bible Says

“who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” 2 Timothy 1:9-10

The Judgment

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.

“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Matthew 25:31-46
